Last weekend, two independent groups went out to pick up litter in Smyrna! A group of neighbors near Pierce Ave. (near Windy Hill and Atlanta Road) and Progressive Black Men, Inc. on EastWest Connector picked up a combined total of 17 bags of litter, which comes to an estimated 255 pounds of litter removed from the streets of Smyrna! INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY CLEANUPS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES HABITAT REHABILITATION - BRINKLEY PARK Four Keep Smyrna Beautiful volunteers removed invasive kudzu, privet, and wisteria from alongside the walking path at Brinkley Park. This new habitat rehabilitation spot helps improve the look of the park and helps make way for beneficial, native plants to thrive. We even had a return volunteer from the Smyrna Fire Department! America Recycles Day is coming up on November 15! Between now and then, keep an eye out on our social media channels, where we’ll share tips, tricks, and best practices so Smyrna residents can be at the top of their recycling game.
