Monday, October 27, with Master Naturalists
Larry and Laurie Alvord presenting an
informative and fun Bat Walk program. The
Alvords aim to bring public awareness of the
importance of bats. Participants learned how
bats help grow many of the foods we eat
through insect control, pollination, and seed
dispersal.

On Monday, October 27, Smyrna Library
had a full house for Jeffini the Great’s
“Halloween Magic Show.” Once again,
Jeffini wowed the children and parents
alike with his not-so-spooky tricks and
treats!

Jeffrey Albertson and “Typewriter Tom” of the Atlanta Typewriters Club returned to Smyrna
Library on Sunday, November 2, for the First Sunday Lecture. Jeffrey discussed the importance of
typewriters and journalism in World War II. Participants were even able to test drive the models
discussed in the lecture.
