March 17, 2025 6:30 PM City of Smyrna Mayor and Council Meeting 2800 King Street SE Administration Conference Room Page 2 of 2 Mayor Norton discussed the budget process, SPLOST, and the potential uses for the Emory property. He also announced that the L & L Hawaiian BBQ is having their soft opening March 24 and their ribbon cutting on March 29. Councilmember Oglesby stated they received 35 entries for the hydrant art project. They will choose 15 to move forward with the project. Councilmember Hines mentioned that Ruby’s Pizza was mentioned on the Bert Show as a great place for pizza and watching sports events. Key Club is having their 100-year anniversary on March 24, 2025. Mayor Pro Tem Gould stated that the Campbell High School Education Foundation Golf Tournament is April 21, 2025. The same weekend is the Campbell High School IBS art show on April 19, 2025 at Robert Harrison’s home. Councilmember Welch stated that in 1975 he attended the 32nd National Key Club Conference in high school. Joe Bennett stated that he and Joey Staubes are meeting with David Knight of the Castelaw property. He will be out of town April 5 – April 13. 7. Executive Session (As Needed) 8.
