ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES Bring One for the Chipper Christmas tree recycling will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Home Depot (2450 Cumberland Pkwy). This event is for live trees only. No flocked trees. All trees must be free of lights and ornaments. Trees will be mulched, and the mulch will be made available to the public. This is a great way to divert material from the landfill and recycle your holiday tree sustainably. CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING: JANUARY 3 Keep Smyrna Beautiful volunteers began preparations last Friday for the next Pollinator Pocket in Ward 7. The initial phase involves removing invasive, nonnative plants from the site, followed by soil preparation in advance of planting next year. The new Pollinator Pocket will be located at River Line Park, across from the new splash pad. POLLINATOR POCKET WORK DAY On Saturday, December 13, Keep Smyrna Beautiful volunteers collected more than 165 pounds of litter, including 30 pounds of recycling, from Riverview Road.
