There are 2 options for the monthly fees: Option 1 is no down payment the fee is $7,722.00 monthly or $92,664.00 yearly or Option 2 is a down payment of $125,000.00 the fee is $5,910.34 monthly or $70,924.08 yearly. This request also includes the conversion of all existing fixtures from HPS (high pressure sodium) to new LED fixtures and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents. Ward 3 Councilmember Travis Lindley ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: This request is based off the current circumstances that our current vendors cannot currently get replacement poles that match existing. The replacement parts are also becoming obsolete and are very expensive to replace as the HPS fixtures and poles are phasing out. The city will maintain ownership of the lights themselves. This will be a maintenance-based only agreement with GA Power.
