Last Friday, fourteen visitors participated in the monthly tour of the Smyrna Recycling Center, where they learned about recycling best practices and what happens to materials after they leave the facility. VISIT TO DOUGLASVILLE RECYCLING CENTER On Friday afternoon, Keep Smyrna Beautiful and the Smyrna Recycling Center staff visited the new drop-off recycling facility in Douglasville. Environmental Services Director Julie Barwig and Smyrna Recycling Center Coordinator Jerod Stewart provided input and feedback throughout the planning and construction phases, so it was exciting to see the new center fully operational.
