Citywide ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: This lease is necessity for the vertical asset installation to ensure the new AMI infrastructure (water meters) being replaced city wide will functionally operate and be supported by the new meter reading software to ensure accurate metering and billing data is generated. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works recommends approval of an Intergovernmental Lease Agreement with Cobb County and the City for use of the County’s Camp Highlands 800 MHz Tower Site located at 4900 Camp Highlands Road, Smyrna, Ga, 30082 to enhance the ability of the City’s Public Works Department to monitor residential water usage through the installation of AMI Metering base station infrastructure and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
