ATH2025-150 Approval to use Council Chambers for Ward 6 Neighborhood Meeting, Thursday, November 6, 2025, 5pm - 7pm Ward 6 Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember - Tim Gould This item was approved on the Consent Agenda. III. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION Public comment during this portion of the agenda must be limited to matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council. No subject may be acted upon by the City Council unless that subject is on the agenda and is scheduled for action. If you wish to be heard, please sign up with the City Clerk, come to the podium when called by the Mayor, state your name and address for the record and make your remarks. The time allotted for each speaker is as follows: Public Comment - Three (3) Minutes 11. Public Comment Daryl McNeil, a local Realtor in town, said he wanted to offer his support and services to help small business and the community. 12. Ward and Staff Reports Councilmember Glenn Pickens: Announced the upcoming Joint Ward Meeting for wards 1, 3, and 6 on October 5, 2025. Councilmember Latonia P. Hines: Announced she will have a ward 2 meeting soon. She also reminded all that the Hispanic Heritage Celebration is this weekend. Councilmember Rickey N. Oglesby, Jr.: Announced some restaurants and bars will be handing out convenient coasters with a QR code to encourage people to take a survey about public art in Smyrna. This is an endeavor by the Smyrna Public Art Committee. Their goal is to have public art in every ward by the end of October. Councilmember Travis Lindley mentioned that City Attorney Scott Cochran is a new grandfather. Mr. Cochran stated that his grandson, Griffin, was born on September 11.
