for proposed projects related to the interior renovation of a new city facility located at 1088 
Concord Road, Smyrna, GA 30080, as well as the development of new office spaces on 
the first floor of City Hall at 2800 King Street, Smyrna, GA 30080. The city also intends to 
select firms for on-call design services. Twenty-three (23) proposals were received on 
Friday, June 6, 2025. The proposals were reviewed by a selection committee comprising 
staff from Administration, Public Works, Water Administration, Information Technology, 
Community Development, and Human Resources. Seven (7) firms were shortlisted and 
invited to participate in interviews and presentations. From this group, five (5) firms were 
selected for award. A firm will be selected to lead the design projects for 1088 Concord 
Road and City Hall. 
 
5. Other Business / Staff Comment 
 
Councilmember Lindley: Mike Terry reached out about Taylor-Brawner. He also mentioned that 
he would like to find a way to remember Dr. David Martin who played an integral role in keeping 
parks clean. He recommended naming a city park after him, specifically Concord Road Linear 
Park  
  
Councilmember Welch: He stated he is still waiting on the trash can recommendation/solution. 
Paul Osbun, Deputy Public Works Director, stated they are still working on putting together a 
plan.  
  
Councilmember Hines: Next weekend is the Hispanic Heritage Celebration.
