2. Call to Order
The February 28, 2025 Smyrna Public Art Committee held at A. Max Bacon City Hall in the HR
Training Room was called to order at 11:46 AM.

A. 2025-100 Crosswalk Mural Updates
• Anna Talarico reported that discussions have taken place with the artists regarding
repainting the crosswalk murals. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be
created to outline the repainting process and specify the materials to be used.
Once the MOU is finalized, a work plan will be developed to ensure the project’s
timely execution. Anna explained that the repainting is intended for a designated
period, not as a permanent solution. The goal is to have the murals completed
before the Jonquil Festival.
• Richard Garland explained that the crosswalks require a longer curing time than
was provided previously.
• Anna Talarico noted that a traffic-grade product will be used this time to prime and
seal the art work.
