Councilmember Oglesby: The bridge at Camp Highland Rd. is great. Planning & Zoning
Commission voted down an apartment complex off of Highland Pkwy. Blake Brady (WP South
Acquisitions LLC) will meet with Councilmember Oglesby and any others who might want to join
on Friday at 11:00 AM. This item will come before Mayor and Council in September.

Mayor Pro Tem Gould: Someone at the Downtown Redevelopment Public Input session
mentioned the Wells Fargo building. Discussion took place about the difficulties the city has
already faced when dealing with Wells Fargo and their unrealistic expectation for that property.

Councilmember Lindley: Thanked Mike Jones and the police department for their tactful handling
of a homeless woman named Amy.

Mayor Norton: He mentioned that Mike Jones and Kristin Robinson attended a SPLOST meeting
at Cobb County today to discuss shared projects. Cobb County is proposing a project of $175M
for a new state courthouse. What this means for the cities in Cobb is it will be a reduction in the
amount allocated to the cities. The last SPLOST projections for Smyrna were estimated at $53M.
They are projecting only $53.6M this time. Mayor Norton will meet with the seven other mayors in
Cobb County to discuss strategies.

City Attorney Scott Cochran: He stated that the service delivery agreement is blowing up again
because of Mableton. DCA rejected the agreements with Cobb County, and there is a good
chance Smyrna will be under sanctions.
