There is a non-appropriations clause that allows the City to exit this agreement for any reason. 4. Other Business / Staff Comment Councilmember Oglesby stated he had a soft opening of his new jazz restaurant this past Friday. They had 1,154 tickets with over 300 people in attendance. He will have a few more soft openings on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The restaurant grand opening will be on December 26, 2025. Councilmember Pickens asked if there had been a curfew issued for downtown. He heard an announcement over loud speakers on Friday around 6:15 PM evening that said the park is closed and that unaccompanied minors had to leave the premises. Mayor Norton asked him to reach out to Chief Zgonc and Deputy Chief Binicewicz about this because no one was aware of a curfew. Councilmember Lindley asked about the next steps on bagging leaves and pickup. Mike Jones, City Administrator, is looking into a leaf truck. There is an issue that people place rocks and sticks into the leaf piles, so they are going to look at different options and capabilities. Councilmember Lindley stated that the feedback he had received is that there was no communication about this. He would like communication to go out to let residents know what the new policy is and why. He also mentioned that there is still too much speeding through neighborhoods. Mayor Pro Tem Gould announced that tomorrow night is Haynes King Night (Georgia Tech). Mayor Norton wished Mayor Pro Tem Gould a happy birthday. 5. Executive Session (As Needed) 6.
