February 10, 2025 6:00 PM City of Smyrna Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting 2800 King Street SE Council Chambers Page 4 of 5 Chairperson Powell stated that Mr. Ward was there in 2019 when he was in support of changing the property from MU-conditional to Moderate Density Residential. He asked if Mr. Ward has any concerns with the mixed-use classification. Mr. Ward stated that he trusts Robert Harrison and his vision, and believes the zoning still has its limits. The public hearing was closed. Commission Member Keith Bentley made a motion to add the stipulations presented by the applicant: to occasionally allow small, intermittent art classes and to allow for small sales of items produced at the arts studio; seconded by Commission Member Henriette Ostrzega. The motion to approve carried with the following vote: Aye: 5 – Commission Member Phillips, Commission Member Howard, Commission Member Bentley, Commission Member Rice, Commission Member Ostrzega Nay: 1 – Commission Member Seagraves Absent: 1 – Commission Member Gordon-Evans Commission Member Keith Bentley made a motion to approve item Z25-002 with the previous added stipulations; seconded by Commission Member Henriette Ostrzega.
