Yes. For the most part it'll be um brick and then board and batten from my understanding. Um, but everything visible from the front and the sides. There will be no lap siding on those elevations. Good. So, it'll be in accordance with the town home standards. Thank you. Any other questions? I know one of the questions I had asked in our meeting the other night was about the dumpster and where it's located. Can um can you point that out on this thing this uh map that's here? The Yes. Uh you see the the hatch section sort of in the middle uh landscape island in the middle uh in front of the Chick-fil-A building. That's where the dumpster enclosure will be. So you would enter the site and if you were entering from South Cobb Drive, it'd be the first driveway and then they'd pull in there to access it and then pull around um all the way around and back out. Mr. Jones, did you have a comment or question? Yeah. Um Rusty, taking a look at the way this property is currently zoned um versus what's being asked for today. It is this a in your opinion is this a less intense use than what's already zoned that could go there today? Yes. This the zoning is not changing but from an intensity standpoint in our minds it's a down zoning of the property. Okay. is that you so you you went from 160 apartments to 45 town homes, but you've also added a a Chick-fil-A, which is going to be a little bit more intense probably than whatever was you went from 163 units down to 453 units. And then you went from 20,000 square feet of commercial space down to five, which if you know, looking at the 20,000 square feet under the first, you you might have had two or three restaurant spaces in those buildings.

So, we're wanting to do that uh preventatively to make sure that that we help address some of those issues before they come up. It's a similar thing with leak detection as we move down here. This leak detection thing is great where once uh any potable water that is a leak is detected in a building, it shuts all the water down, preventing further damage and preventing us from insurance issues. Bridge repairs and maintenance. Cobb County uh did a study. We have to comply with those a few years ago that kind of graded all of our bridges and they they weren't horrible, but they're kind of in the middle. And there were when that study happened, there was about 11 bridges that we needed work done to repair on. This is the second year we've put money in to slowly repair those uh bridges so that we're not once again going to have a year where we have a million dollars to repair bridges. And then for sanitation carts and underground sanitation carts, these are the wear and tear of sanitation day in and day out. Those get broken. We need to replace them. So we've we've had money in there for quite a while to make sure that we're replacing those. for water sewer CIP. We have these are just three recurring projects that we've had um every year. Lead and copper inventory. This was federally mandated by the EPA um to be completed in about three stages. So you'll see we're hoping that will be over in FY28. And then infrastructure and drainage projects. These are just any projects that come up. We instead of bouncing up and down, we've begun a few years of increasing that about 7% every year. So that's why you see the study increase the buildup to make sure that we have enough money to uh replace those things.

I'm going to go take a a couple of rides through myself. Good. Yeah. I'd like to I'd like to do a little field trip. So, I'll go do I'll give you my number. You can call me and we can I'll show you what's going on. Stay Stay. We're almost finished. Stay around just a minute. Okay. Okay. But it's so annoying, you know, to drive up that street and you have no idea. And the man that lives right there on the corner, the policeman told him the other day, you cannot park this van here. That van is there every single day. And he has company and four or five other cars. And I thought there was a city ordinance in Smyrna where you could not park on the grass. These people parked on the grass in the street out of the street. You know, it's just it's a hazard. We we'll get it looked at. A child could get run over or a person could have a head-on collision. But thank you so much. Thank you for spending your time here tonight. Thank you. You want me to meet with you? Sure. Yeah. All right. That concludes our public comment. We are now at ward and staff reports and we'll start tonight. Mr. Glenn Pickkins right as he's taking a big swig of his water. Uh thank you, mayor. Um I just really like to thank our uh public works director, Paul Osborne. Over the last few months, he's been managing some contractors out there doing some utility work along up and down Atlanta Road that have caused some pretty significant uh issues, including uh having to repave a portion of the road today. Um so, he's been really good keeping Tim and I updated and just making sure the contractors do everything they need to do and uh put everything back to normal and how they found it.

What this search can tell you

Coverage is incomplete. This collection tracks 118 meetings. 39 have searchable transcripts and 72 have searchable minutes; a meeting may have both. 10 currently have neither. A missing passage is not evidence that a topic was never discussed.

Speech and summaries stay distinct. Transcript passages preserve the available transcript text. Minutes are labeled as summaries, not spoken quotations. Speaker identities are shown only where the source or documented attribution supports them; an unattributed speaker remains unattributed.

Relevance does not establish a connection. Topic search uses meaning and words to help you locate passages. Read adjacent passages, follow the source and inspect any agenda context before drawing a conclusion about an official’s position or a decision.
