We have been dragged through the mud and from national news, from local AJ articles. You can Google Georgia log Georgia law cabin Republicans and we come up in an AGC article where we're just lambasted for existing. Summary in the published minutes, not a verbatim quotation.

The Community Development Department and the City and State Fire Marshal have reviewed the application and will require a UL2085 fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 6,000 gallons. The fuel tank will have a minimum separation of 5’ between the fuel tank and another structure and a minimum separation of 15’ from any property line. The State and City Fire Marshal have approved the fuel tank installation and location. The property does not have sanitary sewer service to the property and will require regular maintenance from the applicant for any restrooms. The applicant has a permit request pending for a water meter for the property. The applicant is requesting a special land use permit to allow a 60’ by 12’ modular office and a 40’ by 8’ storage container. Community Development recommends approval of the requested special land use permit. Arrow Waste is seeking approval for the modular office and storage container at 6310 Riverview Road. Community Development recommends approval of the request with the following conditions: 1. The modular office and storage container shall only be allowed for a period of 24 months after the date of approval. If the applicant requires the modular office and storage container for a longer period of time, the applicant shall reapply for approval. 2. The modular office, storage container and fuel tank shall be removed from the property when the occupational tax certificate has been canceled by Arrow Waste or it has not been renewed within the appropriate time limits. Mike L. Jones, City Administrator, explained that the only issue council is considering is the temporary modular building. If this had been a permanent structure, council would not even be hearing this. Councilmember Oglesby stated that he will not support this. Mr. Martin stated that the building is already there, this is just to make sure the building is in compliance.

I discussed with you the water and sewer fees. That's the only one they have now. I will say I believe I noted this Thursday that they are looking at a few fees. uh maybe significant overhaul of their fees, the water, sewer, which we might bring back to you all before we adopt this budget or just after uh Paul and his and his team are working on that right now. And then for storm water utility, uh that's another one that we are trying to evaluate to make sure both we're billing that correctly and we're billing what we need to fulfill all of our obligations for storm water work without the city. And the budget now has contained a 2% increase, which is either a seven or eight percent depending on the some decimal points. And then for parks and wreck, we are uh not any huge changes. Most of the things that are actually hard fee changes will be decreases, but we are adding back fees that were previously off the schedule for Talison uh aquatics facility reopening and then for the splash pad as well. We're adding those. We had some placeholders for splash pad, but kind of firming those up. Uh what we did have was $5 for just like a general admission for that which is has been lowered to somewhere between two and a half and $3 depending on uh their criteria. We've also decreased the rental rates for baseball and softball fields from 300 to $200 to try to help uh facilitate rentals there. And then they've added some just to make sure or hopefully increase rentals in city facilities during the weekdays. So, this is Monday through Thursday before 5:00 pm, they've implemented a 30% discount on those room rentals there. And then the community center after 5:00 pm there's a 20% discount uh between Monday and Thursday.

What this search can tell you

Coverage is incomplete. This collection tracks 118 meetings. 39 have searchable transcripts and 72 have searchable minutes; a meeting may have both. 10 currently have neither. A missing passage is not evidence that a topic was never discussed.

Speech and summaries stay distinct. Transcript passages preserve the available transcript text. Minutes are labeled as summaries, not spoken quotations. Speaker identities are shown only where the source or documented attribution supports them; an unattributed speaker remains unattributed.

Relevance does not establish a connection. Topic search uses meaning and words to help you locate passages. Read adjacent passages, follow the source and inspect any agenda context before drawing a conclusion about an official’s position or a decision.
