A. COW2025-099 Review of the October 6, 2025 Mayor and Council Meeting Agenda Z25-010: Joey Staubes, Planner II, provided a brief background as follows: LGE Community Credit Union is requesting a zoning amendment of Z22-014 for 2934 & 0 Atlanta Road to amend the site plan, elevations, and zoning conditions for the development of a 3,605 sq. ft., credit union with 25 surface level parking spaces. Being within the Urban Design District approval is required by the Urban Design Commission. On September 19, 2025, the Urban Design Commission voted to approve the application. Community Development recommends approval of the zoning amendment to amend the site plan, elevations, and zoning conditions on 0.65 acres for a one-story, 3,605 sq. ft. credit union, including the variance supported by staff. Z25-009: Joey Staubes, Planner II, provided a brief background as follows: The applicant is requesting to rezone the subject property at 2351 Benson Poole Road from OD (Office-Distribution) to GC (General Commercial) to allow additional uses for potential tenants in the existing building. The property is occupied with an 1,800 sq. ft. building previously used for an office. The applicant has no plans to redevelop the property and will utilize the existing building and parking facility as-is. ATH2025-152: Kristin Robinson, Deputy City Administrator / CFO, provided the following background: Citywide signage updates was a line item in the FY 2025 Adopted Budget and was anticipated to be awarded in FY 2025. This project was not awarded until August 2025, and the FY 2026 Adopted General Fund Budget did not include funding in the Economic Development budget. We need to increase the departmental budget to cover the expense that was approved. It will be a one-signed amendment which means it will be covered by General Fund Balance. The City also received the LMIG Safety Grant from the State in the amount of $424.400.00 that was not included in the Adopted Project Length budget in the 2022 SPLOST fund. These grant proceeds are used for traffic calming. We need to increase that project budget and also the revenue budget to account for this grant receipt.
