ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
The city is initiating the process to update the 2050 Comprehensive Plan (Shape Smyrna). A fist public 
hearing is required to brief the community on the process to be used to develop the plan, 
opportunities for public participation in development of the plan, to obtain input on the proposed 
planning process, and to receive any public comments. 
 
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Community Development recommends holding the first public hearing to initiate the Comprehensive 
Plan Update process.
