ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
GA Power implemented a program to improve the sustainability of keeping service to citizens during 
storm events. This request will also minimize the potential of trees falling on aerial lines. This program 
is implemented in areas where GA Power has significant issues with service interruption with their 
aerial infrastructure caused by dense tree canopy issues. 
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Public Works requests authorization to approve GA Power’s request to purchase five 20-foot-wide 
vegetation easements in 2 locations located at (1) McCauley Road and (4) Lake Drive and authorize 
the Mayor to sign and execute all documents.
