CDBG Cooperation Agreement PY27-PY29

RESOLUTION 2026-006 
 
 
 
WHEREAS, over the past several years CDBG funds invested in the city have paid 
for numerous public improvements; and 
WHEREAS, the City of Smyrna desires to continue being a subrecipient of the Cobb 
County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program; and 
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into a Cooperation Agreement for Cobb County 
Georgia and The City of Smyrna, Program Years 2027 through 2029. 
 
THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED, as follows: 
 
1. The City of Smyrna shall continue as a sub-recipient of the Cobb County Community 
Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. 
2. The mayor is authorized to execute, and the city clerk is authorized to certify the 
Program Year 2027 Sub-recipient Agreement for the Cobb County Community 
Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. 
3. The mayor is authorized to execute, and the city clerk is authorized to certify the 
Cooperation Agreement for Cobb County Georgia and The City of Smyrna, Program 
Years 2027 through 2029. 
5. The city is authorized to enter into all agreements necessary to carry out this 
resolution and the mayor is authorized to execute all necessary documents.
