ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
RFP 26-012 was let to rebid the Commercial Solid Waste & Recycling services. The city received 
8 responsive bids that were evaluated by an appointed evaluation team. The evaluation team 
evaluated based on outlined criteria on which the determination was made to award the 
contract to Georgia Waste Systems, LLC (Waste Management).
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
It is the recommendation of Public Works and Purchasing for the authorization to approve the 
contract based off RFP-26-012 to Georgia Waste Systems, LLC (Waste Management) (3001 
South Pioneer Drive SE, Smyrna, GA 30082) and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all 
documents.
