2.  Call to Order 
 
Mayor Derek Norton called to order the April 21, 2025 Mayor and Council meeting held at A. 
Max Bacon City Hall in Council Chambers at 7:00 PM.

5.  Mayoral Report 
 
Mayor Derek Norton expressed his thanks to all who attended the Mayor’s Education 
Awards held last week. It was a wonderful event honoring the children of local schools. He 
also announced that next Monday, April 28, in the Large Gym at the Smyrna Community 
Center from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM a public input session for the church redevelopment site will 
be held. For several weeks, an online survey was available, and over 2,700 individual
