locations and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all documents.

ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
Acquiring the easements at 1216 Bank Street is necessary because the existing sanitary and storm 
drainage infrastructure on the property never had proper easements granted during the installation 
of the infrastructure. This will allow the City of Smyrna to be able to access and maintain its sanitary 
sewer infrastructure that crosses the property in multiple locations.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Public Works recommends approval of acquiring a 20’ Sanitary Sewer Easement and a 15’ Drainage 
Easement from the Saunders residence located at 1216 Bank Street for the City of Smyrna to be able 
to access and maintain its sanitary sewer and storm drainage infrastructure that crosses this property 
in multiple locations and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all documents.
