ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
This is a request driven by Google Fibers’ need to install new infrastructure to be able to provide 
constituents with fiber network to be able to utilize TV and Wi-Fi capabilities.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Public Works recommends authorization to approve Google Fiber Franchise Agreement between the 
City of Smyrna and Google Fiber and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all documents.
