ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
The City entered into that certain Intergovernmental Agreement for the Use and Lease of Facilities, 
pursuant to which CCSD leases to the City, and the City leases from CCSD, a portion of CCSD’s land 
located at 1839 Turpin Road, Smyrna, Cobb County, Georgia 30080 and commonly known as the Rose 
Garden Hills School Site, as more particularly described in the Agreement, for public recreation 
purposes
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Staff recommends approval of the Intergovernmental Agreement with Cobb County Board of 
Education for the use and lease of facilities located at 1839 Turpin Road, Smyrna, Ga. (known as Rose 
Garden Hills School Site), for public recreation purposes and authorize the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem 
to sign and execute all related documents.
