ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
This project is to mill and overlay of approximately 30 city streets as part of our city-wide annual 
resurfacing.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
It is the recommendation of Public Works and Purchasing for the authorization to approve the 
contract based off RFQ-26-014 to C.W. Matthews Contracting CO. Inc. (1600 Kenview Drive, 
Marietta, GA. 30060) in an amount not to exceed $4,094,504.67 to be paid from LMIG Funds 
& 2022 SPLOST- Resurfacing line item for the milling and overlay of city streets and authorize 
the Mayor to sign and execute all documents.
