Smyrna, GA 30080, will be effective July 1, 2025 and part of Ward 7 and authorizes the Mayor to sign 
and execute all related documents.

ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
The city is being petitioned to annex 1990 Watkins Road and adjacent right-of-way as described in the 
legal description. The subject property totals 7.55 acres and is zoned HI (Heavy Industrial) in Cobb 
County. The property will retain the HI (Heavy Industrial) zoning if the annexation is approved. 
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Commuity Development Staff recommend approval of Ordinance ORD2025-006 - Annexation request 
(100% owners requesting annexation) - 7.55 Acre Tract Zoned Heavy Industrial – Parcel # 
17068600020 - all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot 683, 17th District, 2ns 
Section, Cobb County, Georgia - 1990 Watkins Road, Smyrna, GA 30080, will be effective July 1, 2025 
and part of Ward 7 and authorizes the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
