June 12, 2025 6:00 PM City of Smyrna Mayor and Council Meeting 2800 King Street SE Human Resources Training Room Page 2 of 5 Richard Garland, Community Services Administrator, provided the following updates Creatwood Park Next Steps: Complete Final Checklist Open Park: Monday, June 16th Ribbon Cutting: Friday, June 27th River Line Park Splashpad Infrastructure is being installed, removal of old concrete slabs, installation of sewer line Next Steps: Layout building Foundations Plumbing Anticipated Completion: Rain is impacting schedule with an anticipated completion date of December 2025 Village Green Bathroom & Playground Next Steps: Playground equipment footer install Shade structure foundation install Building vertical Anticipated Completion: Behind schedule with an anticipated completion date of August 2025 Tolleson Park Aquatics Next Steps: Complete Demo Grade out to pad ready site Design Work ongoing, schematic designs submitted this past week for staff review Anticipated Completion: April 2027 Sports Lighting Conversion Next Steps: Completing Jonquil Park Anticipated Completion: July 2027 Other Projects: Tolleson Park Bridge Replacement (SPLOST): • Pre-bid meeting scheduled for June 17 Rose Garden Park Pavilion and Playground (CDBG): • Foresite is completing final Construction Documents • Anticipated date to open project for bids is Fall of 2025 Riverview Park Trail (TPL): • Formal agreement signed between City and TPL. Construction to begin this summer.
