ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
Smyrna Preparatory School is requesting the location of a school at 4100 King Springs Road which is 
occupied by Life Church Assembly of God. The subject property is zoned R-15 and Section 701.5 of the 
Smyrna Zoning Code requires schools within a residential zoning district to be subject to the approval 
of Mayor & Council.
 
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Community Development recommends approval of the request to allow a school within the R-15 
Zoning District at 4100 King Springs Road.
