1. Roll Call 
 
         Present:  5 – Councilmember/Chair Rickey N. Oglesby, Jr., Committee Member Vanya                 
                                Foote, Committee Member Robert Harrison, Committee Member Burke Scott,    
                                Committee Member Imani Thomas 
          Absent:  2 – Committee Member Charles Rhome, Committee Member Tracy Styf

2. Call to Order 
 
The May 30, 2025 Smyrna Public Art Committee held at A. Max Bacon City Hall in the HR 
Training Room was called to order t 11:32 AM.  
 
3. Chairperson Instruction and Comment 
 
Rickey N. Oglesby, Jr. welcomed everyone to the meeting. He mentioned that the committee 
may need to change future meetings from the last Friday of the month due to his schedule.  
 
4. Formal Business 
 
 A. 2025-221 Fire Hydrant Project Update 
 
Carson Haynie said that the Fire Hydrant Project is going well. She showed images of the 
completed projects, and the committee was satisfied with the results. Carson stated that 
one hydrant was painted in the wrong location, but the correct hydrant should be 
completed over the weekend. Another hydrant location was moved to the downtown area 
due to overgrown ivy in the artist’s originally assigned location. The entire project should 
be completed by June 15 
 
 B. 2025-223 Utility Box Project Update 
 
Burke Scott asked if the committee would like to see the project focusing around the 
ARTery or if they should spread out the locations of the utility boxes.
