Authorization to increase sewer rate per thousand gallons from $8.99 to $9.30 effective April 1, 2025, 
to be billed on the May 2025 utility bills. To recognize that Cobb County Water approved an 3.5% 
increase to the wholesale sewer rate charged to the wholesale customers effective April 1, 2025.
Citywide
ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
Cobb County increased the per thousand gallon sewer rate charged to the City from $5.23 to $5.41 
effective April 1, 2025.  The new rate will be effective for March usage.  Notification to customers for 
the water rate increase and sewer rate increase will be sent on the February 2025 Utility bills.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Authorization to increase sewer rates per thousand gallons from $8.99 to $9.30 effective April 1, 2025 
to be billed on the May 2025 utility bills.  To recognize that Cobb County Water approved an 3.5% 
increase to the wholesale sewer rate charged to their wholesale customers effective April 1, 2025.
