• How many hours per week are you present in the store? Mr. Patel will be present 
at the location between 50-60 hours per week.  
 
Mr. Garland also noted that the Smyrna Police Department takes the sale of alcohol and 
tobacco products seriously. They do perform compliance checks.   
 
Board Member Andrea Worthy made a motion to approve item LIC2026-002; seconded by 
Board Member Richard Garland. 
 
The motion to approve carried with the following vote: 
 
Aye: 3 –  Chairperson Jones, Board Member Garland, Board Member Worthy 
Nay: 0 –  None

 B. V26-012 Public Hearing - Variance Request - V26-012 - Reduce the northern side setback 
from 15 feet to 0 feet - Land Lot 631 - 2881 Jonquil Drive - Jeff Carter 
This request is to be tabled to the March 11, 2026 License and Variance Board Meeting.

Board Member Richard Garland made a motion to table item V26-012 to the March 11, 
2026 License and Variance Board meeting; seconded by Board Member Andrea Worthy. 
 
The motion to table carried with the following vote:
