Approval to purchase a Pierce 107' Ascendant Enforcer Aerial Fire Truck in the amount of 
$1,555,860.51 to be purchased from Ten-8 Fire and Safety (1591 Collier Rd. Forsyth, Ga.) 
using the NPPgov cooperative contract, funded by the Vehicle Replacement Fund, and allow 
finance to amend the budget appropriately and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all 
related documents.
Citywide
ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
Smyrna Truck 1 - 3098 (2014 Pierce Impel Aerial) is approaching the end of its service life and 
is scheduled to be replaced in FY26. The total cost to replace Truck 1 with equipment is 
$1,645,860.51. 
The apparatus will be built and shipped from the manufacturer approximately 40 – 43 
months after the order is received. (100% Prepay ($215,881.20 discount) $1,555,860.51 due at 
order placement).  
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
 Approval to purchase a Pierce 107’ Ascendant Enforcer Aerial Fire Truck, in the amount of 
$1,555,860.510 to be purchased from Ten-8 Fire and Safety (1591 Collier Rd. Forsyth, Ga.) 
using the NPPgov cooperative contract, funded by the Vehicle Replacement Fund, and allow 
finance to amend the budget appropriately and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all 
related documents.
