Approve the Sunday street closures for the Smyrna Market.

ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
The Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department hosts the Smyrna Market in Market Village and down 
King Street on Sundays.  The Smyrna Market will begin Sunday, May 3 and end Sunday, October 
18.  In order to set the vendors up in the street, we are asking for the following road closures:  W. 
Spring Street from King Street to the fountain in front of Atkins Park; King Street from Bank Street to 
parking lot beside city hall; and Bank Street from King Street to Village Walk.  We will need to have the 
streets closed from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm each Sunday.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Smyrna Parks and Recreation recommends approving these Sunday street closures for the Smyrna Market.
