July 20, 2026 7:00 PM City of Smyrna Mayor and Council Meeting 2800 King Street SE Council Chambers Page 10 of 12 Dodge (220 West May Street, Winder, GA 30680) under the Georgia Statewide Contract to be funded by the Emergency Vehicle Replacement Fund, with vehicle outfitting by Dana Safety Supply (1098 King Industrial Drive, Marietta, GA 30062) to be funded by the Asset Forfeiture Fund at an additional $22,238.40 per vehicle totaling $88,953.60, and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents. Citywide Councilmember Travis Lindley made a motion to approve item ATH2026-089; seconded by Councilmember Glenn Pickens. The motion to approve carried with the following vote: Aye: 7 – Councilmember Pickens, Councilmember Hines, Councilmember Lindley, Councilmember Welch, Councilmember Wilkinson, Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Gould, Councilmember Oglesby Nay: 0 – None Recuse: 0 – None E. CON2026-018 Approval of a three-year contract under RFP-26-019 for citywide Fire Systems Inspections and Maintenance to Cliff’s Fire Extinguisher (311 Bell Park Drive, Woodstock, GA 30188) in an amount of $23,501.24 and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents. Citywide Mike L. Jones, City Administrator, provided the following background: RFP 26-019 was let to rebid and award a 3-year contract for Fire Systems Inspections and Maintenance city wide. The city received five responsive bids that were evaluated by an appointed evaluation team. The evaluation team evaluated based on outlined criteria on which the determination was made to award the contract to Cliff’s Fire Extinguisher. Councilmember Travis Lindley made a motion to approve item CON2026-018; seconded by Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Tim Gould. The motion to approve carried with the following vote: Aye: 7 – Councilmember Pickens, Councilmember Hines, Councilmember Lindley, Councilmember Welch, Councilmember Wilkinson, Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Gould, Councilmember Oglesby Nay: 0 – None Recuse: 0 – None F. ATH2026-095 Authorization for a budget amendment to purchase two Laser Z X- Series 72" riding mowers at a cost of $16,014.00 each for a total of $32,028.00 and one Vanguard Ride-On Blower at a cost of $11,880.00 totaling $55,788.00 from Howard Brothers, Inc. (3616 Buford Highway, Duluth, GA) for the maintenance of the Campbell Middle School property and authorize the Mayor to sign an execute all related documents. Citywide
