Chairperson Richard Garland called to order the July 23, 2025 License and Variance Board 
meeting held at A. Max Bacon City Hall in Council Chambers at 10:00 AM.

Land Lot 450 - 926 Pinehill Drive - Scott Andrews

Caitlin Crowe, Land Services Development Coordinator, provided the following 
background: 
  
The applicant is seeking three variances to build a detached carport in the rear of 926 
Pinehill Drive: allow a second accessory structure, reduce the driveway setback from 5 
feet to 3.1 feet, and reduce the northern side setback from 10 feet to 3.8 feet for an 
accessory structure. The side setback and driveway setback are associated with Section 
801 of the Zoning Code, whereas the maximum number of accessory structures is 
required per Section 501 of the Zoning Code. 
  
The subject parcel is a 0.62-acre lot located on the east side of Pinehill Drive in the La 
Vista Acres subdivision. The subject parcel and adjacent parcels to the north, west, and 
south are zoned R-15 and are all occupied by single-family detached residences, with the 
exception of the parcel to the north, which is occupied by a church. The adjacent property 
to the east is zoned RM-12 and is occupied by the Madison Station condominiums.
