Recreation Athletics and Aquatics Division.

ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
This request is based on the Parks and Recreation expansion of aquatic offerings to include the splash 
features at Village Green and River Line Park and well as the anticipated Aquatics Center at Tolleson 
Park. The addition of the Aquatic Operations Coordinator will help us manage the new facilities as 
they come online and begin operations at all sites.  
The Parks and Recreation Department is asking for this position to be classified as a G-8 due to the 
certifications required of the position and the life safety ramifications of the position.
This request is based on the recommendation of Parks and Recreation and has been reviewed and 
approved by Human Resources, Finance and City Administration. 
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Parks and Recreation, Human Resources, Finance and City Administration recommend authorization 
to add a full time position,  Aquatics Operations Coordinator, within the Parks and Recreation 
Athletics and Aquatics Division  .
