ADMINISTRATION
On Wednesday, October 15, the Smyrna Youth Council visited the Public Works Building to learn
about the City’s Engineering, Public Works, and Water Distribution departments. Students met
with each department head, heard brief presentations, and enjoyed live demonstrations both
inside and outside the facility. A big thank you to our incredible Public Works team for making
this a fun and educational experience for our youth!

Upcoming Work Anniversaries:
On Monday, October 20, Mayor Norton welcomed August
Baklini, an 8 grader from St. Benedicts Episcopal School, to
City Hall as “Mayor for a Day.” Augustus toured the Mayor’s
office and joined him for lunch before returning that evening to
preside over the regular Mayor and Council meeting alongside
Mayor Norton.
