Center Pollinator Pocket garden and repotted several Adopt-a-Tree saplings. Now just over a
year old, the garden is already blooming with beautiful spring flowers. Pollinator Pockets are
small, replicable gardens designed to support native pollinators by providing nectar, pollen, and
overwintering habitats that help sustain diverse wildlife and plant life.
POLLINATOR POCKET WORK DAY
Save the Date: Bring Back the Pollinators on June 7! Join us at
the Smyrna Public Library from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. for a presentation
from Denise Wilson of the Xerces Society for Invertebrate
Conservation. The presentation will focus on Georgia's native
pollinators, how they live, and the threats they face. She will
describe four ways that you can help support these important
members of our ecosystem. If you want to support pollinators, this
event is not to be missed!
BRING BACK POLLINATORS
Last week, Keep Smyrna Beautiful
volunteers participated in the
monthly garden work day at the
Hawthorne Adult Education
Center located in Williams Park.
The garden serves as a learning
space while also providing fresh
produce and herbs for the
building's students and teachers.
