Councilmember Travis Lindley and Councilmember
Glenn Pickens, joined artist Gabi Madrid for the
unveiling of Smyrna’s newest public art installation.
Mayor Norton shared remarks about the future of
public art in Smyrna and how projects like this help
bring people together and add character to shared
spaces. A large crowd gathered to attend the event and
celebrate the addition to Smyrna’s growing public art
collection.

Please join us in congratulating Public Works Interim
Director Paul Osburn on receiving his Advanced
Certification in Public Works Management through the
American Public Works Association, awarded by the
University of Georgia. We are incredibly proud of Paul’s
leadership, dedication to excellence, and steadfast
commitment to the Smyrna community. This prestigious
certification is earned through a rigorous three-year
program consisting of six in-depth modules covering all
functions of Public Works. Upon completion, participants
receive 30 hours of continuing education credit. Since
the program’s inception, fewer than 1,000 professionals
have completed it, making this achievement especially
noteworthy. Congratulations, Paul, on this outstanding
accomplishment and for your continued service to our
community!
