Typewriter Tom and Friends returned to Smyrna Library on Friday, April 10, for a delightful
“typewriter petting zoo.” In celebration of National Letter Writing Month and National Poetry
Month, participants were encouraged to type letters to friends or compose original poems. One
young attendee wrote a poem about a boat—and, by happy coincidence, completed a typing
challenge on the bottom half of the same page that formed the image of a ship. The unexpected
pairing amazed everyone!

It’s that time again! Kuzushi Club Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu hosted its attendance competition among all
four shifts, encouraging participation, teamwork, and skill-building. Congratulations to our April
winner, C- Charlie Shift! This training strengthens officer safety and preparedness on the street
while also building camaraderie across each shift. Great work to everyone who continues to
show up, train hard, and support one another. Which shift will take the belt next?
