LIBRARY AND MUSEUM
At the September 10 Tinker Lab program, families explored
potential and kinetic energy by designing and building their
own paper roller coasters. A new “Tinker Lab Jr.” program for
younger children will debut on September 17.
FUN WITH STEM
On Tuesday, September 9, library tweens crafted whimsical homes for
Smyrna’s fairies. With succulents, decorations, and a touch of
imagination, they designed colorful fairy teacups (which happen to be
prime real estate in the fairy housing market).
TEACUP FAIRY GARDENS
Circulation Clerk Danielle Sweeney is moving to Pittsburgh to be closer to her grandchildren. Her
last day at the library was September 10, and staff held a farewell dinner for her at Zucca’s on
September 12. Mayor Norton and Tyler Addison also stopped by to wish her well!
